HUGE REBRAND OF JIMMY-FISHER.COM
August 11, 2012
Well, Jimmy-Fisher.com v1.0, v1.5 and v2.0 did their jobs. Got me a nifty little place on the interwebs to show some work. v2.0 was especially helpful in jump-starting my career. But, as with all things design, it was time for an update. Well, folks, the day is finally here. I'd like to introduce you to Jimmy-Fisher.com v3.0. I have to say, I'm very excited to see what you think of it. I feel like a proud father.
My demo reel has received a massive update featuring the song Til Enda by Ólafur Arnalds of Erased Tapes. AND (get pumped) I have finally added my commercial and professional work to the site! I know, it's been a long-time coming, but it's here. I've packed this page with some cool little tricks. View it on your computer, tablet, or phone...it should work great. Try changing the window size. It'll blow your mind. It was a coding nightmare, but it paid off in the end.

What started as a freelance gig has turned into something longer-term! I've been working alongside my art director, Ben Rubin, to help him create his network's vision for the new season's promo graphics at AMC. He has given me the opportunity and pleasure of working on shows such as Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and more. I have had the luxury to be able to view all of AMC's shows (some I never had the time to see before) in order to create the promos, and nothing could have been cooler than doing what I love for awesome shows like these!
The most notable part for me, I think, was getting to have my work seen in Times Square. While the video documentation of this will be posted soon, it is one of those landmarks in a new animator's career to have work up in such an amazing venue. I did two billboards (for the NASDAQ and Reuter's buildings) that basically took up the entire exterior walls. Got to do this for Mad Men and Breaking Bad's premiere. This was truly exciting as I got to be creative lead on such high-profile pieces in an extremely populated and well-seen location.
More to come I'm sure. I've posted some AMC projects on the work page. One I'd like to share is the Godfather Week package. I used Cinema4D to create the Godfather and AMC logos and then brought them into After Effects to honor this fantastic franchise. Enjoy!
A NEW BROOKLYNITE AND NEW YORKER
Well, it's official. I have moved to the big city. The big apple. I'm in an Empire State of Mind. Got a sweet place in Brooklyn and have started working as a freelancer. Planning on updating the site soon and getting some of my summer work done.
I was in Chicago (at home) for the summer. Worked primarily at Sarofsky under the wonderful supervision of Erin and her team there. Got to spend a little bit of time at Foundation Content before heading out to NYC. Awesome people and some great experience!
